Será que vai chover?...

A retórica da Guerra Fria regressou no passado sábado com o veemente discurso de Vladimir Putin, a que a audiência da 43ª Conferência Anual de Munique não ficou indiferente:

"I think it is obvious that NATO expansion (…) represents a serious provocation that reduces the level of mutual trust"
"Plans to expand certain elements of the anti-missile defence system to Europe cannot help but disturb us"

Num dos mais importantes fóruns transatlânticos sobre segurança, as reminiscentes ideias defendidas por Vladimir Putin acenderam algumas labaredas nas relações com a União Europeia, com a NATO e os EUA:

"I do not see how we can negotiate a new partnership pact on this basis" (Angelika Beer)
"Who should be worried that democracy and the rule of law is coming closer to their border?..." (Jaap de Hoop Scheffer)
"One cold war was quite enough" (Robert Gates)
